Police searching for suspect after man attacked, robbed in Philadelphia's Strawberry Mansion section

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police have released surveillance video of an assault and robbery at a market in Philadelphia's Strawberry Mansion section.

It happened on Saturday, just after 2 a.m., at the store on the 2900 block of Ridge Avenue.

Police say the suspect came into the store and hit the victim in the head with a gun several times.



The assailant then robbed him and fired a shot into the ceiling before leaving.



The suspect fled in a silver Ford Crown Victoria.
