Police seek suspects in armed robbery at Popeyes restaurant in West Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police are investigating an armed robbery in West Philadelphia.

Officers were called to the 5600 block of Lancaster Ave early Sunday morning for reports of a robbery at a Popeyes restaurant.

Police say three armed men forced their way in and took between $1,000 to $3,000 from the safe.

The suspects then fled on foot down Lancaster Ave toward 57th Street.

One employee was injured, but police say those injuries are minor.
