Officials said added support from local, county, and state agencies made a significant difference in maintaining a safe and enjoyable holiday weekend.
The gathering was planned at a short-term rental on West Montgomery Avenue. Wildwood Police identified the event ahead of time and intervened before it could take off.

"There were 5 cops on the porch, and they seemed like they were arguing with the people inside, and the next thing I knew, they were coming in and out, packing their cars up," said neighbor Nick Decinque.
The homeowner said the property had been booked for six people, but at least 15 were inside when officers arrived Saturday afternoon. He said he was unaware of the plans until police notified him.
"I called Airbnb and cancelled their reservation, that's it. I don't want them to be there in my house," said Christian Cruz, when reached by phone Monday.
He added the event had been advertised on multiple Instagram, Facebook, and Snapchat accounts. The home where the party was planned is located just steps from the police department.

"To pick this street is kind of ridiculous. Someone didn't do their homework, apparently," said neighbor Shannon McGill.
The incident comes as Wildwood ramped up enforcement measures for the holiday weekend, including a 10 p.m. juvenile curfew, an 8 p.m. backpack ban, and increased patrols along the boardwalk, including mounted officers.
Despite gray and gloomy weather, crowds still turned out. Officials said additional resources from local, county, and state partners helped manage those crowds and address issues before they escalated.
Deputy Mayor and Public Safety Commissioner Steve Mikulski released the following statement, stating in part:
"Overall, Memorial Day weekend in the City of Wildwood went very well from a public safety standpoint. We had tremendous cooperation between all of our agencies, including the Wildwood Police Department, Wildwood Fire Department, EMS, Beach Patrol, Cape May County Sheriff's Office, and the New Jersey State Police.
The increased law enforcement presence throughout the city and boardwalk was extremely visible this weekend. Mounted patrol units on horseback were a tremendous asset and helped create a very family-friendly atmosphere while also assisting with crowd management and public interaction.
Despite some challenging weather at times, families were out enjoying the boardwalk, restaurants, amusement piers, and beaches safely. Our goal every holiday weekend is to make sure residents and visitors feel safe and comfortable bringing their families to Wildwood, and I believe we accomplished that."
Police said they will continue monitoring social media for similar events and are asking the public to report any postings.
Officials are also urging short-term rental owners to be vigilant in screening guests as the summer season continues.
