Rock to the Future is a music program that provides free classes and community to more than 1,200 youth across Philadelphia each year.
It pops up in schools, community centers, and even the juvenile justice system to give the youth the right instruments to succeed.
At Kensington High School, students in the MusiCore program learn how to play drums, bass, keyboard, guitar, and more.
Rock to the Future also provides scholarships, housing assistance, and other resources that can help families in need.
Adessa Lewis was the recipient of one such scholarship, which came with a laptop. She is now looking forward to training and becoming a mentor to younger kids in the program.
