Rt. 55 SB, south of Glassboro, closed due to overturned semi in Gloucester County

GLASSBORO, N.J. (WPVI) -- Route 55 southbound, south of Glassboro, is closed in Gloucester County, New Jersey, after a semi overturned on the roadway Monday morning.

The crash involved two vehicles just after 4:30 a.m. near Exit 48 - Ellis Mill Road.



One driver was hospitalized with minor injuries.

Gloucester County HazMat is assisting Glassboro Fire Department with a diesel leak.



The roadway is expected to be closed for several hours, while recovery operations take place.

The southbound on ramp from Ellis Mill Rd. remains open, officials say.
