The band's show features a mix of classical and pop music, giving students a wide range of material to perform.
Senior trombone player Sofia Hymel said the setlist spans genres.
"We have songs from Tchaikovsky, from his 1812 overture. We also have hits like Wildest Dreams and Love Story from Taylor Swift," she said.
For the Swift fans in the ensemble, the selection is a long-awaited moment.
"All four years I've been begging to do a Taylor Swift show. I love her," said senior color guard member Calista Rafferty.
Band Director Michael Shoremount, now in his 21st year leading the Golden Knights, said the program remains rooted in community tradition.
"We're here every Friday night for our football games. We love being a part of our community and giving a great atmosphere to our games," he said.
The Rustin Golden Knights will host their first competition of the season next weekend on their home field. The event, a U.S. band competition featuring 10 bands, is titled "A Night in Motion."
