PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Two Philadelphia schools brought in some start power on Friday to get students excited for National Reading Month.

Former NFL player and activist Colin Kaepernick virtually visited both Richard R. Wright School and Louis H. Farrell School. He read his book, titled "I Color Myself Different."

The visit in Strawberry Mansion coincided with the launch of Kaepernick's new artificial intelligence storytelling platform, called "Lumi."

Students at both schools also received signed copies of Kaepernick's book, and a visit from Clifford the Big Red Dog.
