Schuylkill Expressway EB reopens near Montgomery Drive after brush fire

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- The eastbound lanes of the Schuylkill Expressway reopened in Philadelphia Thursday night after a brush fire.

Chopper 6 was overhead around 8 p.m. as crews battled a car fire and nearby flames on the side of the highway.

The fire closed I-76 between Montgomery Drive and City Avenue until about 9:30 p.m.



No injuries were reported.
