Secret Service hosts event in Newark, Del. to share research on how to prevent violence in schools

NEWARK, Del. (WPVI) -- The National Threat Assessment Center was in Newark, Delaware to share information on how to help prevent school shootings.

The U.S. Secret Service Agents and experts spoke at the University of Delaware on Thursday.

They discussed the findings on targeted violence with local law enforcement and school representatives from several states.

Those studies focus on students who might show concerning behavior, and how to assess whether that person poses a risk.
