Sen. Chris Coons delivered a speech on the Senate floor in Washington on Tuesday to honor Snook.
A gunman shot and killed the trooper inside a DMV office in Minquadale two days before Christmas.

"What makes a hero? Someone whose instinct is protection. Someone whose service is about loving others, even when faced with mortal pain and fear. Corporal Snook's family and friends knew a hero," Coons said.
Senator Coons also said that he and Senator Lisa Blunt-Rochester have introduced a resolution of the Senate that would honor Corporal Snook's life and bravery.
