The incident happened around 7 p.m. on the 1500 block of South 8th Street.
Video shared by Termini Brothers Bakery shows the bus driving into an area where fresh cement had recently been poured.
The bus remained stuck for several hours before it was finally towed from the scene shortly before 10 p.m.
According to the bakery, crews had just completed repairs to potholes in front of the business.
"Literally 2 minutes after the holes were filled with concrete this happens," Termini Brothers wrote in a post on Facebook.
Action News has reached out to SEPTA for comment but has not yet received a response.
