PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- SEPTA is expanding its efforts to stop people from riding for free.
These full-length gates are set to be installed at the City Hall station before the end of the month.
They are designed to deter people from jumping over or crawling under the turnstiles.
SEPTA says it has already seen a 20% decrease in fare evasion since installing similar gates at the 69th Street and 13th Street terminals in April 2024.
