PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- SEPTA is expanding its contactless payment options ahead of major events in the weeks ahead.
Starting Friday, customers on all modes of transportation can tap a credit, debit or mobile wallet to pay fares.
Previously, this feature was only available when using a Septa key card.
Riders can tap for up to five riders at a time.
The new payment option should make travel more efficient for groups headed to the Sports Complex and other locations.
