Damage was reported in Wilmington, Delaware, where trees fell along Maryland Avenue.
In South Jersey, Gloucester County officials said emergency crews responded to multiple reports of downed trees, trees falling onto homes and other structures, downed power lines, power outages and at least some reported collapsed structures.
Action News has learned that two residents were briefly trapped after a tree crashed into their home in Mantua Township. It was not immediately clear whether either person was injured.
A tornado warning was issued around 9:20 p.m. for portions of Burlington County. However, there were no immediate reports of a tornado touchdown or any damage.
The severe weather also disrupted a concert by Bruno Mars in South Philadelphia. Concertgoers were temporarily evacuated while the storm passed through the area.
Officials in Gloucester County are urging residents to stay home if possible as crews continue cleanup and assess storm damage.
No serious injuries had been reported as of Tuesday night.
