The view from Chopper 6 showed the suspect's vehicle off the road in a patch of grass.
It all began at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday on the 3000 block of Stone Place, where police responded to reports of shots fired.
Police say multiple vehicles were struck by gunfire, but no injuries were reported.
The suspects fled the scene and led officers on a chase through Newark. The pursuit ended on South Chapel Street near Route 72, after the suspect's vehicle collided with another car. It's unclear if the other driver was injured.
Five suspects have been taken into custody.
