The discovery was made around 7:30 p.m. near the 12000 block of Knights Road.
The remains were those of an adult, but police have not been able to determine the person's race or gender.
Police said in a statement that the investigation remains ongoing in conjunction with the Medical Examiner's Office, which will work to determine the identity of the decedent, the cause of death, and the manner of death.
