The most recent burglary occurred around 4 a.m. Sunday at Station Drycleaners on Main Street in Yardley. Police responded after a nearby resident reported hearing glass shattering.
In all three cases, the suspect gained entry by smashing the glass on the front door and fled before officers arrived.
"We're looking at Ring camera footage. We're looking at a red light camera at the intersection of Main St. and Afton Avenue, as well as processing the crime scene," said Yardley Police Chief William Golden.
Additionally, in the early morning hours of Friday, January 2, Upper Makefield Township police responded to break-ins at Voltage Bikes and Francisco's Restaurant, both located along River Road.
"It is believed these two burglaries were committed by the same person(s) and both are active investigations," police confirmed in an online post.
Chief Golden says he's working with Upper Makefield police.
"From preliminary investigation, it sounds like the same vehicle was possibly used, and the MO and the way the crime was conducted sounds the same," Golden said.
Nothing was taken from Voltage Bikes, but police said cash was stolen from Francisco's Restaurant.
At Station Drycleaners, a cash register containing about $80 was taken.
The burglaries have unsettled nearby business owners, including John Feeney, who runs a flower shop a few doors down from the cleaners. Feeney described the incident as unusual for the area and said he plans to increase security at his flower shop.
"All that for 80 bucks? The door is worth like $1,000," he said. "Hopefully they catch the guys, and honestly, it's sad to see," Feeney added.
Police have not released surveillance video during the ongoing investigation, but Golden said investigators believe they're looking for a silver Honda sedan occupied by a man and a woman.
"We are working with other agencies who may be involved to get the perpetrator so this doesn't happen to another business and or household again and bring that person justice," Golden said.
Action News reached out to Upper Makefield police, but did not hear back.
