They spent the summer kayaking, conducting science experiments, and cleaning up trash along the Delaware River.
This is one of several youth programs at Glen Foerd, a historic park centered around a stunning mid-19th century 'Main House' and 18 acres of trees and flowers.
It is operated by the Glen Foerd Conservation Corporation in partnership with Philadelphia Parks and Recreation.
Students who are accepted into and complete the River Ambassadors program receive a $1,000 stipend for their participation.

Although the 2026 program has concluded, it is expected to return next year in July.
