Evesham Township police say two women robbed the Sunglass Hut on Monday and sprayed a worker with bear spray.
Allesha Taylor-Jones, 29, is now in custody in her home state of Delaware, charged with robbery, aggravated assault, weapons charges and theft.
Investigators say she and another woman robbed the store at the Promenade at Sagemore on Route 73 on Monday afternoon.
An employee told police it happened around 12:45 p.m.
The women allegedly entered the store and started taking high value sunglasses.
Investigators say when the employee tried to call police, one woman sprayed her with bear spray, which can cause eye pain and difficulty breathing.
The women got away with 18 to 20 pairs of sunglasses worth more than $10,000.
Shoppers here were surprised when they found out what happened.
"If you were in a mall, it wouldn't surprise me. But yes. This is high-end," said Joan Kennedy of Pine Hill, N.J.
"It's horrifying and I feel really bad for the employees there. Honestly, I don't think there's much crime in Marlton, so that's scary," said Jamie Santarpio of Marlton, N.J.
Customers were happy to see police patrolling the complex today.
"I shop here all the time," said Linda Casole of Voorhees, N.J. "I come by myself. That is shocking to me that someone would walk into a store at the promenade and bear-spray someone."
There is surveillance video from the store being used in the investigation.
Police say the women were wearing hats and face masks.
They're still working to identify the second suspect. Anyone with information is asked to contact Evesham Twp. Police.
