Support grows to make bathroom more accessible for local veteran

Updated 2 hours ago
Gary Jones is a Vietnam veteran who suffers from numerous health issues.

He is a humble man who takes pride in his independence.

He recently had a couple of falls while simply trying to use his bathroom, and most recently broke his ankle.

He is currently in the hospital awaiting surgery. His wife, Patricia, realized that they needed to make the bathroom more accessible for Gary, so they turned to finding contractors to do the work.

After being either ignored or turned away by most, Matthew Stewart heard their story and decided to step in to help out.

He is taking on the labor cost, but says it is also hard to absorb the cost of materials and supplies. So, he decided to start a GoFundMe to support the project for Gary.

His goal is to complete the project completely free of cost to the family. He says it is important to support our veterans whenever possible.
