Investigators identified the suspect as Mychal Williams of Darby Borough.
Surveillance video from one incident shows a suspect throwing a brick through the door of Don Barriga Pizza and Grill on Chester Pike, shattering the glass before running away.
Police said the same suspect returned to the restaurant two weeks later after the damaged door had been boarded up. Investigators said he removed the boards and, with a hood covering his face, attempted to take the cash register.
"I feel he was looking for something to open the drawer, but we didn't have anything in there," said Jessica Hernandez, owner of the shop.
Hernandez said the first break-in was shocking, but the second left employees feeling frustrated.
"At first it was a shock for us. We feel sad because we work every day. We have kids that we have at home. We're all here working for a reason," Hernandez said.
The incidents at Don Barriga Pizza and Grill occurred June 23 and July 6, according to police.
Investigators identified the suspect as Williams. Police said he continued targeting pizza shops in the borough over the following month, causing thousands of dollars in damage across four separate crimes.
"I heard another pizzeria had the same problem," Hernandez said.
On July 24, police said officers responded to Queen of Pizza in the 500 block of Main Street. Employees told police that when they arrived at work, a window had been broken, $200 had been taken from the cash register, and a computer system valued at $2,500 was missing.
Police said Williams returned to the business on July 29, broke the window again and stole $100 from a tip jar.
According to an affidavit, officers used crime camera footage to track Williams and arrested him Wednesday.
"It is pretty bad when something like that happens to a small business," Hernandez said.
Hernandez said she is relieved the suspect is in custody.
"I realized that we are ok. My kids are ok. My employees are ok," she said.
Williams faces multiple charges, including three counts of burglary and criminal trespassing. He is being held on $75,000 bail, according to police. He's due in court next week.
