The incident happened just before 11:30 p.m. when four male friends were riding bikes in the 2100 block of South 28th Street.
According to police, two unidentified gunmen opened fired on them, injuring one of the teens in the leg.
One of the friends stayed with the victim and the two other teens sped away from the scene.
The victim was taken to Children's Hospital and is listed in stable condition.
The suspects are described as two black males, both tall and medium built.
One male is 18-19 years of age with stumble facial hair, wearing a gray hoodie.
The second suspect was clean shaven and wearing a red hoodie.
So far, there are no arrests or word on what sparked the shooting.
