The funniest reactions to the new Apple AirPods

Apple confirmed during their iPhone event on Wednesday, Sept. 7 that the new smartphone will no longer have a conventional headphone jack and will be able to be used with new wireless earphones called AirPods. The AirPods will connect digitally with all Apple devices and are designed to only play music when they're in the users' ears, but not everyone is excited for the new earphones.

The announcement of Apple's new AirPods, though, has already generated strong and funny opinions on social media with some users, brands, and media personalities. Many mocked the headphones' unique design.

Others poked fun at the AirPods' name.




But a lot of jokes were made at how easily users will lose or misplace their AirPods,









Not all reactions to the AirPods were negative. Some social media users responded positively to the new earphones.
