According to police, their toddler put his hand into a wolf enclosure over the weekend, and was injured by the wild animal.
43-year-old Carrie Sortor and 61-year-old Stephen Wilson, both of Lititz, are each charged with one count of endangering the welfare of a child.
Investigators say the pair were about 25 to 30 feet away from their 17-month-old at the time, and appeared to be on their phones when the incident happened.
According to officials, the child squeezed through a small opening in the wooden barrier perimeter fence and reached through the primary fence enclosure, where a wolf grabbed the child's hand with its mouth.
Several bystanders then intervened and helped pull the child away.
The toddler suffered minor injuries.
