CAMDEN, N.J. (WPVI) -- A new K-9 is keeping the Virtua Health community safe and he comes with a heartwarming back story.
Meslin the K-9 was officially sworn into his role Wednesday in Camden.
Retired police officer and popular dog trainer Perry Parks donated the Belgian Malinois dog to Virtua Health.
He named the K-9 Meslin in honor of Dr. Keith Meslin, a colorectal surgeon at Virtua, who saved Perry's life after a cancer diagnosis.
