Union representing PECO workers sets strike authorization vote date

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A union representing more than 1,500 PECO workers has set a date for a strike authorization vote.

That vote will happen on May 30.

IBEW Local 614 members have been working without a contract since April 1.

Representatives say PECO management has failed to offer serious counter proposals on any of the union's major priorities, including wages and benefits.

Negotiations have been ongoing since January.



PECO says it remains committed to engaging in good-faith negotiations.
