Video shows frantic moment neighbor alerts Toms River family to house fire

TOMS RIVER, N.J. (WPVI) -- A family in Ocean County is crediting their neighbor for saving their lives after a fire broke out at their home Saturday night.

Dramatic doorbell video shows the neighbor frantically banging on the door of the residence in Toms River, alerting the family to the danger.

Two adults, a 17-year-old, a 9-month-old baby, and the family dog all escaped safely.

No injuries were reported in the incident.

The cause of the fire was determined to be an accident, according to officials.
