Video shows multi-vehicle crash at Delaware toll plaza

NEWARK, Del. (WPVI) -- Action News has obtained video showing a multi-vehicle crash at a toll plaza in Newark, Delaware.

It happened around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the northbound lanes of I-95.

The video shows two cars stopped at a toll booth when the striking vehicle comes into the frame at a high rate of speed.

The car then slams into another vehicle, which then slams into a third.

Another vehicle in an adjacent lane was hit by flying debris.

The driver of the striking vehicle, 31-year-old Matt Rude of McLean, Virginia, has been charged with DUI.

Four people were taken to the hospital with injuries.



Two toll booths were also damaged.
