PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Veterans, families of fallen service members and volunteers all gathered to give back to the community on Wednesday in Philadelphia's Old City neighborhood.
The service project took place at Wood Street Park. This is all part of a nationwide mass deployment effort, which brings volunteers together for a number of different projects.
Philadelphia was the final stop, in honor of America's 250th birthday.
The event was organized by the Travis Manion Foundation, one of the largest veteran service nonprofits.
