6abc Studios (WPVI) -- In this week's inside story, Tamala Edwards takes the show on the road, visiting the Philadelphia Elections office warehouse in NE Philadelphia. This is where all of the ballots for the May primary are counted and where voting machines are stored all year long. It's also where the city commissioners have partnered with the Committee of Seventy to hold Election Academy, designed to restore faith in elections.
She also talks to the Chairman of the City Commissioners, Omar Sabir, about how to ensure your vote is counted. The deadline to register for the May 19 primary is Monday, May 4th.
Tamala and the panel also discuss the 3rd congressional district and the explosive meeting over the closure of schools in the Philadelphia School District.
