PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A 30-day warning period begins Monday for Philadelphia's Smart Loading Zone program.

It's meant to better manage loading and unloading in designated zones.

Now, the Philadelphia Parking Authority is expanding it to 30 additional blocks in Center City.

The initiative began a little over a year ago with 22 blocks along Chestnut and Walnut Street.

It will now cover 52.

Drivers have to scan a QR code and use the Curbless app.

The system tracks how long they're parked, charging 10 cents a minute after the first three minutes.

After the warning period, violators could face a $51 ticket.
