READING, Pa. (WPVI) -- West Nile Virus has been detected in Berks County.
Mosquitoes from several areas in Reading and Shillington have tested positive for the virus.
The virus is most commonly spread through a bite from an infected mosquito.
You can protect yourself by limiting time outside from dusk until dawn, wearing long sleeves and pants, using insect repellent and removing any standing water from your property.
