Wildwood Beach Patrol begins reducing number of guarded beaches as peak summer season winds down

WILDWOOD, N.J. (WPVI) -- This is a sign that the peak summer season is winding down at the Jersey Shore.

On Monday, Wildwood Beach Patrol will begin reducing the number of beaches they are guarding, according to the city.

Lifeguards will now only be guarding the following beaches in Wildwood between the hours of 10 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.:

- Cresse Avenue
- Leaming Avenue
- Hand Avenue
- Rio Grande Avenue
- Taylor Avenue
- Burk Avenue
- Baker Avenue
- Youngs Avenue
- Spicer Avenue
- Lincoln Avenue
- Schellenger Avenue
- Wildwood Avenue
- Maple Avenue
- Magnolia Avenue
- 26th Avenue



Swimming is prohibited in the areas where lifeguards are not on duty.
