The blaze broke out just past 1:00 a.m. on the 6100 block of Morris Street.
Crews arrived to flames showing from an apartment on the 8th floor.
A woman suffered second and third degree burns and was taken to Temple University Hospital.
She is in serious but stable condition.
Residents were evacuated to the lobby area, but were allowed to return to their apartments once the smoke cleared.
So far, there is no word on what sparked the blaze.
