She is 76-year-old Marilyn Cramer.
The blaze broke out before 3:00 a.m. Wednesday on the unit block of East Providence Road.
Firefighters arrived to heavy smoke showing on the first floor of the 2-story twin house.
They were able to get the blaze under control within 20 minutes.
Officials say three people inside were able to make it out safely through the back door, but Cramer was not.
She was found on the front porch and pronounced dead at the scene.
Cramer was Keith Jackson's aunt. His sister and his parents, who are in their 80s, were the three others inside.
"Just fortunately, my mother was up watching a movie," Jackson told Action News. "I thank God for that. She got my father."
Fire officials say the blaze appears to have started in the living room and spread to the front porch.
The fire marshal said the blaze did not appear to be electrical, but the cause is still under investigation.
"I think she was smoking," said Jackson. "I think she may have fallen asleep while she was smoking."
Fire officials say smoke detectors did sound on the upper floors, but the one in the living room melted during the fire.
The fire took place in a twin home. The people living in the other side were able to get out safely, and were soon able to return home.
