PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A woman was killed in a rollover crash Tuesday night on Interstate 95 in South Philadelphia.

The crash happened just before 9 p.m. on the northbound lanes near mile marker 19.4, close to the Columbus Boulevard exit.

At the scene, officers found Netsia Philogene, of Claymont, Delaware, who had been ejected from a black Toyota Highlander. She was taken to an area hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.

Police said a 4-year-old child was also inside the vehicle. The child was not physically injured but was visibly shaken.

According to investigators, witnesses reported the driver was weaving in and out of traffic prior to the crash. While traveling in the center lane, Philogene allegedly attempted to merge into the right lane between two vehicles and struck a white Jaguar SUV on the rear passenger side.

Authorities said Philogene then lost control of her vehicle, struck a barrier on the right shoulder, and the SUV rolled multiple times before she was ejected.

No other injuries were reported.

The highway reopened shortly after 1 a.m.

The crash remains under investigation.
