HACKENSACK, N.J. (WPVI) -- A woman was rescued after falling into a trash chute at a high-rise on Sunday in Hackensack, New Jersey.
Fire crews say she was on the 14th floor when she fell into the chute and became stuck between the third and fourth floors after getting trapped in backed-up trash.
After cutting into the chute and removing debris, firefighters were able to free her about 30 minutes later, according to the Hackensack Fire Department.
She was treated at the scene. One firefighter also suffered an arm injury during the rescue.
