The shooting happened around 2:24 a.m. in the 1900 block of N. 19th Street.
Police say a 25-year-old woman was found on the front steps with gunshot wounds to her left arm and torso.
Officers rushed her to Temple University Hospital, where she was admitted in critical condition.
Shell casings were on the ground near a car that was riddled by bullets. Police say the victim's vehicle was towed from the scene.
The suspect was in an older, dark-colored pickup truck, investigators say.
This came about two hours after another shooting in the city left a woman and two men wounded.
That shooting happened around 12:32 a.m. in the 2600 block of Cecil B. Moore Avenue.
A 37-year-old woman was shot near her left knee and ankle, a 29-year-old man was shot in the left foot, while a 35-year-old man suffered a graze wound to his hip area.
No arrests have been made.
