Preparing for a new school year

DILWORTH PARK (WPVI) -- Schools reopen in a month or so, and Tuesday the backpack challenge kicked off in Dilworth Park.

The annual event collects backpacks and school supplies for local children in foster care.

The Flyers Skatezone in Northeast Philadelphia is one of the collection sites set up by the Valley Youth House.

Donations will be accepted through August 18th.
