UPPER DARBY, Pa. (WPVI) -- The man who found a bag containing $15,200 in Upper Darby, Pa. will get to keep the cash.

Documents from the Civil Division of Delaware County Courts show that the money was turned over to Bob Tracey, who made the discovery in March, 2016.

That's because no one came forward to claim the money year since.

Tracey said at the time he was driving home when he saw a bag in the middle of State Road.

He pulled over and got it, saw the large sum of money inside, and immediately called police.

"When I saw all the money, I also thought it might have been a nighttime drop for a business. So I had to turn it in, it's just the way I am," Tracey said in 2016.

Upper Darby Police Superintendent Michael Chitwood said at the time, "We deal with dirt bags day in and day out. We lock people up every day for stealing and robbing and pillaging, and here's a gentlemen who comes in, who finds 15-grand and turns it right over."
