Bullets fly through car window, killing man in SW Philadelphia

SOUTHWEST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A 47-year-old man has died after being shot several times while sitting in a car in Southwest Philadelphia.

It happened around midnight Thursday on the 1800 block of South 58th Street.

Police say someone walked up to the victim and shot him at point-blank range.



The bullets were fired through the driver's side window.

The victim managed to get out of the vehicle. Officers found him lying on the street.

He was rushed to the Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, but later died from his injuries.



Police have not released the victim's name.

So far, no arrests or word on a motive.
