Informal learning initiative

FAIRMOUNT PARK (WPVI) -- The William Penn Foundation has launched a new plan to bring more learning opportunities to children in need.

It's called the informal learning initiative.

It's connecting more than a dozen cultural and community organizations with low-income communities, to give kids a chance to discover and learn outside of school.

The initiative is expected to reach nearly 1,800 kids in Philadelphia.
