THON 2022 raises more than $13 million for childhood cancer research

STATE COLLEGE, Pennsylvania (WPVI) -- THON 2022, the weekend-long dance marathon at Penn State University, made history.

Hundreds of Penn State students were on their feet at the Bryce Jordan Center in Happy Valley from Friday night to Sunday at 4 p.m. raising money for childhood cancer research.

In the end, they danced for 46 hours and raised a record $13,756,347.50 for the kids.

THON is the largest fundraising event on any American college campus.
