Jennifer Wiliamson recorded the incident on her cell phone as her son, Aaron, underwent a TSA pat down. So far, it has been viewed more than 5 million times on Facebook.
She says her son suffers from a sensory disorder and describes the thorough pat down as traumatizing, adding that they were detained for over an hour and treated like dogs.
Williamson also claims that they were deliberately kept from their flight and she believes it's because she asked that they refrain from screening him because he "set off no alarms."
The TSA has responded to the viral post, calling this standard procedure and adding that Williamson and her son were at the checkpoint for 45 minutes, which included the time it took to discuss screening procedures.
