The shooting happened in the 4200 block of Woodland Avenue, near Saint Joseph's University - University City campus, at about 6 a.m.

Police said a 24-year-old man was found with gunshot wounds to the chest, back and torso. He was taken to an area hospital in critical condition.
A firearm was recovered from the vehicle the victim was driving, police said.
The shooting prompted a temporary shelter-in-place order for Saint Joseph's University students but has since been lifted.
The shooting remains under investigation.
