Train passenger gives homeless man his shoes

Tuesday, January 16, 2018
CHICAGO (WPVI) -- A Chicago man is gaining a lot of attention for his act of kindness.

Maurice Anderson was on the train when he noticed a homeless man was only wearing one shoe and his foot was bleeding.

Anderson said the homeless man told him his feet may have been frostbitten.

He found out they had the same size shoe. And without hesitation, Anderson unlaced his brand new pair of boots and handed them over to the man along with a pair of socks.

Anderson, who had an extra pair of shoes in his suitcase, said he would rather help than judge people in need.
