Preliminary DNA tests reportedly show the newly discovered remains in the search for Natalee Holloway are from a Caucasian person of European descent. Matching the profile of the missing 18-year-old, who was declared dead in 2012.

The investigation is part of a six-part docu-series on the Oxygen channel, "The Disappearance of Natalee Holloway."
According to Oxygen, DNA results to conclusively determine whether the bone fragments belong to Holloway are expected by next month.
Holloway disappeared in 2005 while on a high school trip to Aruba.
Jordan Van Der Sloot was the man last seen with Holloway after a night of drinking before she disappeared.
The 30-year-old is currently serving time in a Peruvian jail for killing a different woman.
Many say Holloway's parents were victims of a botched investigation from the start by Aruban authorities.

Holloway's father, Dave Holloway, says he won't give up on finding truth and getting justice for his daughter.
