A team from the Australian Antarctic Division received a surprise visitor on their boat as they traveled through sea ice.
Footage published to social media on January 17 shows a curious penguin hopping on board the boat to take a look around before diving back into the water.

The team's communications specialist Matthew McKay was able to capture video of the energetic animal during it's brief visit.
