Grasshopper found in Van Gogh's painting

Wednesday, November 8, 2017
A grasshopper that has been dead for more than 120 years is the buzz of the art world.

A museum in Kansas City, Missouri found the tiny creature embedded into one of Van Gogh's paintings.

The museum made the discovery during a thorough examination of its French paintings.
The grasshopper is so tiny, it is only visible with a microscope.

Van Gogh, who often painted while outside, checked himself into a mental health asylum in 1889.
