Sea wall breach causes flooding, evacuations in Massachusetts

Friday, January 5, 2018
SCITUATE, Mass. (WPVI) -- A seawall breach outside Boston caused massive flooding and evacuations.

The National Guard had to be deployed to the Scituate area, after water began pouring through a crack in the wall.

Authorities said about 20 residents had to leave their homes.

Crews are working to repair the crack, which happened in an older section of the wall.

A newer section of that seawall was holding up.
